Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver for your transfer to your hotel in Medan. After settling into your room, meet your guide in the hotel lobby then head out for a city tour by visiting the remaining Malay,
Chinese and Dutch colonial architecture buildings like; Maimoon Palace the palace of the Sultan of Deli which was built in 1888 and the Great Mosque. Once the tour has finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 2 Medan – Bukit Lawang (3 hours’ drive)
After checking out you will be transferred to your next hotel in Bukit Lawang which is the conservation of the orangutans located in Gunung Leuser National Park, via landscapes with vast views of palm oil and rubber plantationUpon arrival in Bukit Lawang, check into hotel. In the afternoon, head out for a short trek to Bat cave.
Day 3 Half Day Trek in Gunung Leuser National Park
After breakfast, meet your guide and head out for a 3-hour jungle trek in Gunung Leuser National Park to see the wildlife. This involves a walk through the jungle to explore the park. Steep slopes and dense vegetation will bring you the excitement of the rainforest. In this tropical primary rainforest you can see some varieties of birds, butterflies, orangutans, siamang (long arm apes), and different kinds of reptiles. Then you will do a traditional tube rafting down the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 4 Bukit Lawang – Parapat – Lake Toba – Samosir Island ( 6-7 hours’ drive + 1 hour by ferry)
After breakfast and checking out, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to your hotel in Danau Toba. Today you will drive along endless palm tree, rubber and cacao plantations and through the historic city of Pematang Siantar. Upon arrival at at Parapat, a town on the shore of Serene Lake Toba, you will embark on a public ferry to the island of Samosir. The ferry transfer takes about 45 minutes. Check into hotel for a 2-night stay on Samosir Island.
Day 5 Day at Leisure
You have today at leisure to relax and enjoy all the region has to offer. In the evening you can enjoy a performance of the Toba singers in a local café (optional – subject to an additional cost).
Day 6 Village Visits
Today after breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and head out to explore this wonderful island by visiting Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, then visit Ambarita Village to see the famous stone chairs and execution place of King Siallagan. Then you cross back to Parapat by ferry. Upon arrival in Parapat, you will be taken to to Balige and visit TB Silalahi Center museum which is situated on the south shores of Lake Toba. Continue on to the Batak Museum complex, dedicated to the preservation of the cultural values of the indigenous ethnic population of North Sumatra. Upon conclusion of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 7 Lake Toba – Medan
After checking out you will take a ferry transfer to the main island. Upon arrival, meet your driver for your private transfer to your hotel in Medan.
Day 8 Transfer to Airport – Flight to Banda Aceh – Sabang
After checking out, you will be privately transferred to the airport, in time for your onward flight to Banda Aceh. Upon arrival into Banda Aceh, you will be met by a BIH representative and transferred to Ulee Lheue Port to catch the ferry to Weh Island. Disembark the ferry and meet your driver who will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation.
Day 9 Day at leisure
Spend your day at leisure to relax and enjoy the areas surrounding
Day 10 Beach Tour
Today you will visit Pantai Gapang and Gua sarang inlcude snorkeling
Day 11 City Tour
After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby then head out to Km Zero Monument, other beaches, waterfalls, hot springs, WWII Japanese bunker, and Sabang historical places / buildings. Upon conclusion of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 12 Transfer out
After checking out, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the airport, in time for your flight out.
