Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Denpasar International Airport, please proceed through immigration with your eVoA (electronic Visa on Arrival) ready. Alternatively, you may obtain a visa on arrival at the airport.
After clearing immigration, an airport assistant will be waiting with a sign displaying your name. They will assist with luggage collection, guide you through customs, and escort you to the arrival hall, where your guide and driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, which is approximately 1.5 hours away. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Afternoon Tour of Ubud
Morning at leisure to relax after the long flight. In the afternoon, meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head out for a half-day tour around Ubud visiting some of the most important sites in the area. The first destination is Goa Gajah, an archaeological site derived from the 9th – 11th century AD. In the past, this beautiful temple served as a monastery for Buddhist monks and Shivite priests. Continue on to Gunung Kawi, a temple compound consisting of 10 big shrines carved on the cliff of the Pakerisan River. Enjoy the views of picturesque rice terraces as you are walking down the 250 steps to the shrines. Conclude your half-day tour with a visit to Tegalalang rice fieldn. Upon conclusion of the tour, return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Mount Abang Trek
Rise early for a guided trek to Mount Abang, Bali’s third-highest peak. The trail winds through dense forest and misty ridges, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Enjoy breathtaking sunrise views over Mount Batur and Lake Batur from the summit. After descending, relax in a nearby natural hot spring and soak tired muscles while admiring the volcanic scenery. Return to your hotel by midday and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4: Day at Leisure
Spend the afternoon unwinding at your resort before preparing for the Mount Agung Sunrise Trek. Around midnight, meet your trekking guide for a safety briefing and transfer to the trailhead, where your next adventure begins.
Day 5: Mount Agung Sunrise Trek
The trek up Mount Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred peak, begins just after midnight. The climb starts at 1,350 meters and takes about four hours through forested trails and rocky slopes. Reach the summit in time to witness a spectacular sunrise over Mount Rinjani and the distant Lombok Strait. From the crater’s edge, enjoy breathtaking views above the clouds and the remnants of Agung’s powerful 1963 eruption. After a light breakfast on the mountain, descend to the base and celebrate your achievement with a hearty lunch at a local restaurant. Return to your resort by midday to rest and recover.
Day 6: Senaru Waterfalls Tour
Fly to Lombok with VIP airport assistance for a smooth and hassle-free journey. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will transfer you to Senaru Village, about 2.5 hours away. In the afternoon, enjoy a short trek to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls. Walk through scenic forest trails surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of rushing water. The waterfalls offer a refreshing escape and a perfect introduction to Lombok’s natural beauty. Return to your mountain lodge to relax and prepare for the Mount Rinjani trek ahead.
Day 7: Rinjani Trek Day 1 (Sembalun Village to Crater Rim)
After breakfast, meet your private mountain guide and begin your Mount Rinjani adventure. Start from Sembalun Village at 1,100 meters, walking through rolling grasslands with panoramic views of the valley and mountain range. The trail gradually steepens as you climb toward the Sembalun Crater Rim, reaching the campsite at 2,639 meters by late afternoon. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Rinjani’s summit and Segara Anak Lake below. Settle into camp, enjoy a warm dinner prepared by your support crew, and rest under a sky full of stars.
Day 8: Rinjani Trek Day 2 (Rinjani Peak, Lake Segara Anak & Senaru Rim)
Rise before dawn for the summit push. The climb is steep and demanding but leads to one of Indonesia’s most breathtaking views. Watch the sunrise from Rinjani’s 3,726-meter peak, with panoramic views of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa. After a light breakfast at the summit, descend to the campsite for a hearty meal before continuing down to Segara Anak Lake. Rest by the lake, soak in the nearby hot springs, and enjoy lunch surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery. In the afternoon, continue your trek to the Senaru Crater Rim, arriving in time to watch the sunset over the coast before dinner and rest at camp.
Day 9: Rinjani Trek Day 3 (Descent to Senaru Village)
The final day begins with a hearty breakfast at the Senaru Crater Rim campsite around 07:30 AM. By 8:30 AM, you’ll begin the long descent (10.5 km) from the Rim down to Senaru Village, dropping over 2,000 meters in elevation. Upon arrival at Senaru Village, you’ll be privately transferred to your North Lombok accommodation.
Day 10: Day at Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure to rest and recover. Relax by the pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or explore the resort’s surroundings at your own pace.
Day 11: Gili Islands Snorkelling & Island-Hopping
Today’s Gili Islands adventure takes you across turquoise waters on a private boat to Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. Snorkel among coral gardens and gentle sea turtles, then relax on white-sand beaches. Each island has its own charm; vibrant Gili Trawangan, peaceful Gili Meno, and laid-back Gili Air. Enjoy free time to explore, dine by the beach, or simply soak in the island serenity.
Day 12: Return to Bali
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide for a private transfer to Lombok Airport. Your airport assistant ensures a seamless check-in for your flight to Denpasar. Upon arrival in Bali, another assistant greets you and escorts you to your guide and driver for your transfer to your hotel. Enjoy your final evening at leisure.
Day 13: Departure
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide for your transfer to Denpasar International Airport. Your VIP airport assistant helps with luggage, check-in, and immigration, ensuring a smooth departure experience. Your Indonesia Trekking Adventure concludes here, filled with unforgettable memories of volcano summits, serene lakes, and warm Balinese hospitality.
